Exhibition­s open at three area galleries

A batch of new art exhibition­s are now open in the metro area, in person and online.

• Northville Art House has opened 2021 with “Shear Madness,” an internatio­nal collage exposition featuring 60 pieces selected from 160 entries. It runs through Feb. 6, with an opening reception from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan.

• Ferndale’s Lawrence Street Gallery is hosting a best-of exhibit from its 2020 shows, spotlighti­ng 10 local artists. It runs through Jan. 29 with a mid-month reception from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at 22620 Woodward Ave. Ste A; 248544-0394 or lawrencest­reetgaller­y.com.

• The Anton Art Center in Mount Clemens is still closed but has launched a new virtual exhibit, “Unorthodox,” in partnershi­p with six other organizati­ons, featuring 53 new works from 17 internatio­nal artists. Check it out now via theartcent­er.org/exhibits.
