National African American Recognition Program awards area students
Every year, the College Board National African American Recognition Program awards students from underrepresented communities academic honors and connects them with universities across the country.
Recently, three West Bloomfield High School students were recognized by the board for their academic achievements and high scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
The following students were selected by the College Board National African American Recognition Program:
• Rave Andrews, president of the Democratic Club, executive board member for HOSA (Future Health Professionals), team captain for the debate and forensics teams, and member of student government
• Jada Lee, president of HOSA (Future Health Professionals), co-captain of Varsity Figure Skating, vice president of Genes In Diseases and Symptoms, member of A Cappella Jazz Choir - Laker Express, treasurer of the Choral Department, Model United Nations Executive Board member, committee chair of the West Bloomfield Michigan High School Democrats, and National Honor Society member.
• David Unogu, member of the National Honor Society, E.A.R.T.H. Club and HOSA (Future Health Professionals)
