• Merchants of Downtown Rochester to offer their customers Lagniappe (Creole for “a little something extra”) in appreciation for their support throughout the year, 6-9 p.m. Nov. 22. Also the Rochester Downtown Development Authority will debut The Big, Bright Light Show, beginning at 6:20 p.m. on E. Fourth St. The lights will officially light-up downtown Rochester at 7 p.m. Visits with Santa are 7:15-9 p.m. Following Lagniappe, The Big, Bright Light Show will run nightly from 5 p.m.midnight through Jan. 2, then every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through the weekend of Jan. 15, DowntownRochesterMI.com.
• Canterbury Village Holiday Stroll dates are Nov. 24, 26-28, Dec. 3-5, 10-12, 17-19 and Dec. 23 outdoors at 2359 Joslyn Ct., Orion Township. Event includes light shows, live Christmas performances, live holiday characters. Tickets are $14.99+. Parking is $5.
