My neighbor captured this shot as my family and I went out for a Christmas Eve sunset cruise on Lake Santa Fe in Melrose, Florida aboard my 1999 Hunter H260. It was dead calm and unseasonably warm. The wind freshened the next morning for a full day of glorious sailing, the perfect family gift. — Paul Farmerie, Winter Park, FL

We are hard on the wind aboard our Swan 43, sailing from Simi to Tilos in the Greek Islands. The photo was taken by our nephew, Little David, on his first sail. Hearts and souls were flying high! — Peter and Denise Moesslang, Liberty Lake, WA

Sunrise at the Lake Guntersville Sailing Club on the Tennessee River in Guntersville Alabama. — Timothy Hammond, Tuscaloosa, AL

This is a view of Alpenglow on Mt. Baker, as seen from Sucia Island, Washington. We were aboard Sea Eagle, a Jeanneau 34 we chartered for a week from San Juan Sailing. Sucia Island is a popular anchorage for the first night out of Bellingham or Friday Harbor. — Tim Whitney, Bellingham, WA
