San Antonio Express-News (Sunday)

Excessive heat continues today

-

The weekend’s heat advisory continues as San Antonio recorded a 103-degree high Saturday and more of the same is expected today.

For those in need there is relief as some of the city’s libraries are doubling as cooling stations Tuesdays through Saturdays. The libraries serving as cooling centers are Bazan Branch Library, Carver Branch Library, Collins Garden Branch Library, Cortez Branch Library, Johnston Branch Library, Mission Branch Library, Pan American Branch Library, Schaefer Branch Library and Westfall Branch Library.

Cooling center hours are Tuesdays noon to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Because of the excessive heat, this week on Wednesday and Thursday the cooling centers will extend their hours to 7 p.m.
