Pandemic defiance

People complain because the authorities keep changing the rules about reopening and then closing businesses due to the virus.

These changes are in response to the ever-changing dynamics of a pandemic. The underlying problem is the behavior of people who refuse to wear masks or follow social distancing. These are the people who need to be the target of our anger, not leaders who are trying their best to keep us safe and alive.

These defiant people, as well as the cavalier attitudes of our elected leaders at the state and federal levels, are the cause of this surge. Masks should have been mandated at the state and federal level months ago. The worsening pandemic is the result of a total failure of leadership from our governor and president, and the people out there who think the rules don’t apply to them.
