HIGHLIGHTS

Brennan Carroll carried nine times for 230 yards and three touchdowns as Roosevelt ran over LEE 56-20 to even its season record at 2-2 and 1-1 in District 28-6A.

Dareion Murphy of Floresvill­e ran for 188 yards on 23 carries and three TDs as the Tigers remained unbeaten at 4-0 with a 34-21 victory over Southside.

Christophe­r Medelez passed for 246 yards and two TDs as Holmes routed O’Connor 39-14 in a District 29-6A contest, taking the Huskies to 3-1 and 1-1.

Taft QB Justice Hurt ran for 212 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders’ 41-21 District 29-6A win over Marshall Thursday night in a battle of unbeaten teams.

New Braunfels kicker Kaden Wenzel connected on a 34-yard field goal with 1 second remaining to lift the Unicorns to a 24-21 victory over Judson in their District 27-6A opener Thursday night.

Daunte Brooks scored on a 2-yard run with 52 seconds left as Sam Houston held off Kennedy 22-20 for a District 13-5A-I win Thursday night.
