Two people, a younger man and an older woman, were shot to death in separate incidents several hours apart Friday night, according to San Antonio police.

In the first case, officers were sent to the 300 block of Whitewood Drive on the Southwest Side around 8:40 p.m. Friday to investigate a report of a man who had been shot in the face. When the officers arrived, they found the man, 26, seated in his car, according to police. He had multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they have not yet identified a motive or suspects.

Across town, around 11:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to a house in the 100 block of Nellina Street on the Northeast Side for a shooting in progress.

Two people, a 38-yearold man and a 66-year-old woman, were on the front porch, according to police.

The woman had multiple gunshot wounds in her upper torso and was unresponsive, police said. The man had been shot in the foot.

Both were taken to Brooke Army Medical Center. The woman was pronounced dead. The man was in stable condition, police said.

Police said a person in a vehicle driving down Nellina Street shot at the house multiple times, hitting the woman and the man, before fleeing north from the scene. Officers said another house also was struck by gunfire, but no one inside was injured.

Officers found multiple shell casings in the street by the houses.

Officers, who described the man as uncooperative, said he provided “very limited information” about the shooting.

Officers have not yet been able to locate any other witnesses to the shooting.
