1. Lecture
In conjunction with “Tony Parker’s Heroes and Villains,” the San Antonio Museum of
Art will present a lecture titled “Super Macho: Superheroes and Performing Gender” by Alejo Benedetti, associate curator of contemporary art at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Benedetti curated the “Men of Steel, Women of Wonder” traveling exhibit that was at SAMA in 2019.

2. Television
Hill Country DIY expert April Wilkerson is once again teaming up with “Home Improvement” stars Tim Allen and Richard Karn for a History Channel show. The trio, who co-hosted the competition series “Assembly Required” last year, are reuniting for a new series, “More Power.” The show looks at the history of tools and the lives of those who operate them.
Premieres 9 p.m. Wednesday, the History Channel.
3. Book signing
Anne Elise Urrutia will be signing copies of her book “Miraflores: San Antonio’s Mexican Garden of Memory.” It’s about the sculpture garden her father, Dr. Aureliano Urrutia, created near the intersection of Hildebrand Avenue and Broadway. The garden is now part of Brackenridge Park.

4. Movie
Head’s up, “Bridgerton” fans. “Mr. Malcolm’s List,” a period romantic comedy somewhat indebted to “Pride and Prejudice,” is your cup of tea. The cast includes Sope Dirisu, star of the British TV series “Gangs of London,” and Zawe Ashton, who also will appear in the upcoming superhero movie “The Marvels.” Opens Friday in theaters.
5. Poetry
The Guadalupe Latino
Bookstore and Gift Shop’s Texas Author Series continues with readings from two poets. Claudia Castro Luna will read from and discuss her new collection, “Cipota Under the Moon,” and Ire’ne Lara Silva will read from and discuss her chapbook “Hibiscus Tacos.”
