Mary Lorene MacDonald Gall

Mary Lorene MacDonald Gall was born October 31, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1972, and went home to be with Jesus on February 7, 2023. She was the devoted wife of Dr. Norman Grover Gall for 51 years before he went to be with the Lord in 2020.

Lorene is survived and loved by her daughters, Wendy and Carrie, sonsin-law, Doug and Justin, granddaughters Micah, Olivia, and Brianna; as well as by her sister, Jean Jackson, brother-in-law, Bill, and niece, Lynn. Growing up, mom was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework, a ride, something sewn, a recipe, a coffee buddy, or just a shoulder to cry on. She was an expert thrifter and lover of all things old and unique. She loved going out of her way to hunt special treasures to meet the needs and wants of those she loved. More than anything, she loved Jesus and wanted to shine for Him! She was a woman of strong faith and instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. person who always put her family and friends’ needs before hers. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was an Overcomer. Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Because of her faith, we know and love Jesus. Her granddaughters know and love Jesus. Our mother was a true role model, and we will always look up to her.

Lorene’s Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Chapel of San Antonio on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00 am. Beloved friend and pastor, Ron
