KFC, Taco Bell parent posts gains

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum Brands Inc. — the company behind KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut — posted a 24.8% year-over-year increase in profit for fourth quarter 2023. A modest gain in revenue was accompanied by slightly larger decreases in expenses and its provision for income tax. For the year, profit was up 20.5% to $1.6 billion.
