Notable: Bruce led Brandeis to a 5-9 record last season. He coached at Wagner from 2013 to 2020, leading the Thunderbirds to the Class 5A state semifinals twice.

Notable: Boykin led Stevens to a 1-9 record last season. He was the coach at Seguin for two seasons and spent time on the Marshall staff.

Notable: Hubbard led East Central to the playoffs last year after going 4-7.

Notable: Carroll led Roosevelt to a 6-4 record last season. He was the head coach at University High School from 2008-12.

Notable: Bruce led Southwest Legacy to a 4-6 record last season. He led the team to the playoffs in his first season as a head coach at Southwest Legacy.

WENDELL HARRIS

Notable: Harris led LEE to a 0-10 record in his first season as head coach last season. But in the 2022 season, he led Burbank to the playoffs.

Notable: Green is the first football coach at YMLA and led the Lions to a 5-6 record last season.

Notable: Hubbard led Steele to the second round of the playoffs last season.

MANNY FLORES

Experience: 15 years

Notable: After spending eight years at Roosevelt, Flores is in his second year at New Braunfels Canyon. During his time at Roosevelt, he led the Roughriders to the second round of the playoffs multiple times.

Lee is in his second year as Roosevelt's head coach. In his previous role at Bandera, he led them to the playoffs for the first time in three seasons.

JAMES JOSEPH

Experience: 7 years

Notable: This season, which is Joseph's first year as the coach at Sotomayor, he has more than quadrupled the team's win total from the prior season.

CHAUN BROOKS

Experience: 17 years

Notable: This is Brooks' 12th season as the head coach at Jay, where he is an alumnus. He made the playoffs in his first year as head coach.

ISAAC THORNTON

Experience: 19 years

Notable: Thornton made the playoffs with Smithson Valley in 2019-20. Thornton's first-ever head coaching job was in Ohio, and he reached the state championship.

RODNEY CLARK

Experience: 12 years

Notable: Clark led Wagner to the state championship twice in his 12 seasons as a head coach. He was named the Express-News coach of the year in 2019.

ERIK COLEMAN

Experience: 2 years

Notable: Coleman led Sam Houston to the second round of the playoffs last season.

Notable: After missing the playoffs in his first year with Alamo Heights, Walker currently has the third-best record in District 27-5A.

Notable: Last season, McWilliams led Clemens to the playoffs in his first season as head coach.
