Robert “Rob” Flatley
Robert “Rob” Michael Flatley died on February 3, 2024, after a short battle with illness that he faced with his typical courage and resolve. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on September 14, 1950, to Robert and Oralyn Flatley, Rob was the eldest of five siblings. He graduated from St. Mary’s University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He later received graduate degrees from Our Lady of the Lake (Master of Education) and Trinity University (M.S.

Hospital Administration). Rob enjoyed a successful career in hospital administration and healthcare consulting. Later in his career, Rob owned and operated two restaurants in San Antonio, Texas.
Rob’s pride was in his friends and family. On April 7, 1989, he married Dr. Mary Ann Byrne in
San Antonio, Texas, and they shared 34 years of marriage. Rob was a devoted father to his three children, a loving son and brother to his four siblings, and a steadfast companion to his many friends. He was also a
dedicated mentor to DeAndre Marshall through Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. All who knew him will recount his tenacity and quick wit.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Mary Ann Flatley; his parents, Robert and Oralyn Flatley; and his brother, Doug.
He is survived by his daughters, Taylor Kelly Moyer (husband Payton) and Camden Elizabeth Polischuk (Wesley); son, Robert Michael Flatley, Jr. (Meredith); brothers, Timothy (Dana) and Daniel
Scott (Sharon); and sister, Kathleen. He has six grandchildren: Breckin, Chandler, Ryden, Carson, Sutton, and Hadley.
His burial will be private.
