2. Classical music
Agarita will present “Trios of Resonance,” a program of works for trios played by violinist Sarah Silver Manzke, violist Marisa Bushman and cellist Ignacio Gallego. The recital is in the chamber group’s new space, which is accessible only by a flight of stairs.
6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Agarita Loft, 724 S. Alamo St., No. 2. Free; reserve tickets agarita.org.
3. Exhibit
“Celia Álvarez Muñoz: Los Brillantes,”
Ruby City is opening a solo exhibit by the Texas artist. The show includes a suite of 18 distinctive portraits of San Antonio artists — including Jesse
Amado, Mel Casas and David Zamora Casas — drawn from her 2002 series “Semejantes Personajes/Significant Personages.” Munoz will give an artist talk as part of a celebration of the show at 2 p.m. Saturday. Opens Thursday. Through Jan. 19, Studio at Ruby City, 111 Camp St. inside Chris Park. Info, rubycity.org.
4. Concert
Indigo de Souza, a singer-songwriter from Asheville, N.C., is on the road with her third album, “All of This Will End.” On songs like the set-closing “Younger and Dumber,” the raw sentiments and de Souza’s big voice practically leap from the comparatively hushed arrangements.
7 p.m. Wednesday, Paper Tiger, 2410 N. St. Mary’s St. $25, papertigersatx.com.
5. Dance
Caroline Hamilton, Ballets Russes costume and dance historian, will give a lecture titled “Robert L. B. Tobin and the Women of the Ballets Russes,” courtesy of the Tobin Theatre Arts Fund.
6 p.m. Thursday, McNay Art Museum, 6000 N. New Braunfels. Free; registration required at mcnayart.org.
