Rod was born June 7, 1953, to William Goodloe, Sr. and Frances Goodloe, in San Antonio, TX.

and Kara (Michael) Harling; his son Troy Timpner (Becky); four grandchildren, Evan, Cade, Elliot, and Mia; sister Cheryl (Doug) Adams along with several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

In 1971, Rodney graduated from Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, TX. After a short stint

in the United States Air Force, he attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, TX. He spent thirty-eight years in the aviation industry, starting with working out of his toolbox and climbing the ladder to management positions where he supervised large scale

programs supporting the military. His work took him and his family all over the world, where they experienced many fun adventures.

He married the love of his life, Libby, in 1982.

Rod loved his family to the extreme, his 57 Chevy and the Dallas Cowboys. Fishing, hunting, car shows, working in his yard and listening to music in his man cave gave him great joy.

He was a true Gemini with one personality being loving, funny and kind and the other being that grumpy old man.

He was very strong in his opinions and would share them with everyone, whether they wanted to hear them or not. He was a wealth of knowledge – ask him anything and he would have the answer. People often wondered not only how he could know all this stuff, but why?!

He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
