Leonard Flores Jr.

Leonard Flores Jr, age 86, passed away on Saturday March 16, 2024 in San Antonio, TX.

Leonard was born in Robstown, Texas to Leonardo and Estella Flores on June 8, 1937. He was a Professor Emeritus of Automotive Mechanics at St Philips College for 27 years and also taught at Edgewood High School for 7 years.

He married the love of his life, Elmira Flores in 1958 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Tech High School and attended Texas A&M and Southwest Texas University. He proudly served in the Air National Guard for 8 years. He was also a devout servant of Jesus Christ and a deacon at Dellview Baptist Church for 48 years.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Elmira Flores; three children, Leonard Flores III, Beverly Ramirez, and Kenneth Flores; his brother, Robert Flores and sister, Elodina Ortiz; grandchildren, Sophia Flores, Mia Flores, Jason Flores, Aaron Ramirez, Angelo Ramirez, AND Alexis Barnett.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Flores III, Kenny Flores, Andy Flores, Carlos Dominguez, Ricky Dominguez, Robert Dominguez, Jason Flores, and James Gomez.

The family would like to acknowledge the following individuals for their love, support, and dedication: Vitas Health System, Nurse Jordan and the Staff of St Luke’s

Hospital.

A Visitation will be held at Dellview Baptist Church, 454 Beryl Dr, San Antonio, TX 78213 on March 27, 2024 at 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Religious Ceremony will be held at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway San Antonio, TX 78218 on March 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

Committal Service is take place Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway San Antonio, TX 78218 on March 28, 2024 at 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Catering will follow after interment at Lone Star Hall inside Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway San Antonio, TX 78218 on March 28, 2024 at 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
