CIPRIANO BARA MIRELES, JR.
July 27, 1917 - September 17, 2018
Pastor Mickan entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Monday, September 17, 2018 at age 101. He served at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in San Antonio for 29 years. He is survived by his wife Maria; daughters Ruth Ottmers, Martha (Steve) Ricketson, Becky (Tom) Christie, Debbie (Richard) Schmalz, Nita (Mike) Scott, and Mimi (Mike) Broyles; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grand children; two great-great grandchildren; his sisterin-law Anita Gerhardt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 Friday the 21st at Mission Park Stone Oak, 23755 US Highway 281 N. in San Antonio. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Saturday, September 22 at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 Common Street, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Memorials may be designated to Lutheran Hour Ministries. Cipriano Bara Mireles, Jr. was born on February 3, 1959 and went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2018 at the age of 59 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated Harlandale High School in 1977. He was married to his loving wife Maria in 1980 they were happily married for 38 years. He was a loving husband and father. Cipriano started working for VIA in 1980 where he was employed for 34 years and retired in 2014. Cipriano will be fondly remember for his smile, laughter and jokes. He loved to fish, camp and travel. He loved having everyone over to BBQ, laugh and make memories. Cipriano will be truly missed by all who knew him but his memory will always be with us as we remember his laughter, love of life and how much family met to him. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolina B. Villalobos. He is survived by his father Cipriano O. Mireles (Diana); his loving wife Maria Elena Mireles; daughters Angelica Mireles, Maria Elena Salinas (Robert); sons Cipriano Mireles III and Jesus I. Gonzalez (Lori); sister Cathy Salazar (Johnny); Aunt Virginia Alaniz (Ricardo) he is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and by many other family members and friends.
SERVICES Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Palm Heights Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.
