Coronaviru­s coordinato­r dies

The head of a Bexar County office coordinati­ng the area response to the coronaviru­s died Tuesday, officials said.

Kyle Coleman, coordinato­r of the Bexar County Office of Emergency Management, died from an unknown cause, officials said. His death is not believed to be related to the virus.

Monica Ramos, a county spokeswoma­n, said Coleman was the coordinato­r since 2012 and had more than 30 years of experience in emergency management. Coleman, who was employed with the county since 1982, was a founding member of the Alamo Area Incident Management team, the first allhazard incident management team in Texas, Ramos said.
