Caribbean restaurant serving at the Pearl

-

When The Jerk Shack opened in 2018, the Jamaican restaurant generated strong local and national praise. Now the chef behind that West Side phenom is set to again light up San Antonio’s appetite for Caribbean food with the last week’s opening of Mi Roti at the Pearl’s Bottling Department food hall.

Jerk Shack co-owner chef Lattoia Massey — who goes by Nicola Blaque — is teaming with chef Lionel “Butch” Blache to bring Caribbean flatbread wraps, called roti, and a range of bowls with grilled and spiced meats, rice and vegetables, including grilled steak, chicken tikka masala, curried shrimp, jerk chicken and chickpea curry. Prices range from $10 to $12. The food hall is open for dining inside and on the patio, with tables socially distanced and masks required.

Mi Roti is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. It’s located in the Bottling Department food hall at 312 Pearl Parkway, Building 6, Facebook: @miroti210.
