OUR PICKS FOR WHAT TO SEE AND DO THIS WEEK

- By Jim Kiest and Deborah Martin STAFF WRITERS

1. Book

Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan, authors of the young adult novel “Unpregnant” (now an HBO Max movie), return with “Save Steve” ($17.99, Harper Teen). It’s another nervy tale of high school life. Cam likes Kaia, but Kaia is dating Steve — and Steve has cancer. As one of Cam’s friends informs him, you don’t get in the middle of a cancer love story.

On sale Tuesday

2. Streaming

“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown is “Enola Holmes,” a bright, if unconventional British girl who’s got a problem — her mom (Helena Bonham Carter) has gone missing. You’d think her brother Sherlock, the great detective, would be helpful in a situation like this — but, as it turns out, not so much.

Premieres Wednesday on Netflix.

3. Art

The Briscoe Western Art Museum is opening “Visual Voices: Contemporary Chickasaw Art,” a touring exhibit spotlighting works by 15 artists working in a variety of media. The works on display explore connections between contemporary life and tribal culture and history. Preview party: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. $20 for members; $40 for non-members. Opens Friday and runs through Jan. 18, Briscoe Western Art Museum, 210 W. Market St. Info, briscoemuseum.org; 210299-4499.

4. Concert

Country singer Ward Davis might have been stamped in the mold as Chris Stapleton and Jamey

Johnson. The songs on his debut album “15 Years in a 10 Year Town” deliver clear-eyed views of tough times in a voice with a little highway grit in it. 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Bud LigFXht Courtyard, AT&T Center, 1 AT&T Center Parkway at East Houston Street. $213 to $333 for tables of six, attcenter.com

5. TV

Regular viewers of “Fargo,” the mordant crime drama inspired by the Coen Brothers’ movie, will remember that members of the Kansas City mob traveled north to Fargo in season two. Season four relocates to Kansas City in the ’50s, where a gang war is under way. And, yes, Yes, that’s Chris Rock starring as one of the main mobsters.

Premieres 8 p.m. Sunday on FX

6. Movie

The Woodlawn Theatre is reviving its movie series, starting with the 2007 musical “Hairspray.”

John Waters’ tale follows a chubby, bold teen as she pursues her twin dreams of dancing on a popular television show and pressing for integration. 2 p.m. Saturday, Woodlawn Theatre, 1920 Fredericksburg. $10, woodlawntheatre.org/fall-movies.”
