Rangers road kill again in Arizona

PHOENIX — Carson Kelly had a three-run homer, Caleb Smith and Riley Smith combined to throw a six-hitter and the Arizona Diamondbac­ks rolled to a 7-0 victory over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night.

The Rangers have a 6-23 record on the road this year.

INDIANS 5, WHITE SOX 3: Jose Ramirez’s three-run homer with two outs in the 10th inning gave Cleveland a win over Chicago that clinched a postseason berth.

Ramirez’s drive off Jose Ruiz allowed the Indians to reach the postseason for the fourth time in five years.

DODGERS 7, A’S 2: Corey Seager had three hits, including one of host Los Angeles’ four home runs, as the Dodgers clinched the National League’s top postseason seed and eighth straight West title.

BRAVES 11, MARLINS 1: Bryse Wilson pitched five scoreless innings, Marcell Ozuna drove in five runs with four hits that included two homers and host Atlanta clinched its third straight NL East title by beating Miami.

NATIONALS SWEEP PHILLIES: Philadelph­ia tumbled out of a playoff position, getting swept in a doublehead­er at Washington when Yadiel Hernandez hit a game-ending, two-run homer in eighth for a 2-1 win in the second game. Austin Voth’s three-hitter won the opener 5-1.

PIRATES 3, CUBS 2: Jacob Stallings homered in the bottom of the ninth as Pittsburgh stalled Chicago’s bid to win the NL Central. The Cubs did clinch a playoff berth.

CARDINALS 5, ROYALS 0: Austin Gomber tossed six innings of four-hit ball as St. Louis won at Kansas City to take a one-game edge on Cincinnati for the No. 2 spot in the NL Central.

BREWERS 3, REDS 2: Eric Sogard doubled home the go-ahead run in the seventh for visiting Milwaukee.

GIANTS 5, ROCKIES 2: Alex Dickerson broke a tie with a pinch-hit homer in the seventh at San Francisco.

ANGELS 4, PADRES 2: Max Stassi had two home runs among his four hits as Los Angeles won at San Diego.

TWINS 5, TIGERS 4: Max Kepler hit the tying home run in the eighth inning and the game-winning single in the 10th, giving host Minnesota a victory over Detroit.

METS 5, RAYS 2: Pete Alonso hit one of New York’s three homers as the Mets prevented visiting Tampa Bay from clinching the AL East crown.

YANKEES 12, BLUE JAYS 1: Gerrit Cole limited Toronto to five hits over seven innings at Buffalo, N.Y.

RED SOX 8, ORIOLES 3: Nick Pivetta fanned eight in five innings of one-run ball in his debut for host Boston.
