Here’s a look at what’s new or notable in home video. Movies and TV series are available on streaming sites such as itunes, Amazon and Vudu unless otherwise noted.

New — Buy it now

“Tenet”: Don’t try to understand it. That’s what a spy ( John David Washington) is told regarding a process that inverts chronology — guns suck up bullets, car crashes unspool in reverse — early in “Tenet,” director Christopher Nolan’s globe-trotting sci-fi action movie.

Take that advice. If you try to figure out what’s happening as good guys and bad work backwards and forwards to save or destroy the world, you’ll sprain your brain. Just enjoy the spectacle, the scenery and the heists. You always can watch it again, or maybe you already have.

Previously released in theaters. Now available to buy on Blu-ray and streaming services.

Also: The Robert Deniro family comedy “The War With Grandpa” is now on streaming services following a theatrical run.

New — Netflix original

“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”: In this adaptation of August Wilson’s play, which takes place during a recording session in 1920s Chicago, the late Chadwick Boseman is Levee, an ambitious but frustrated trumpet player trapped between white record producers and his imperious boss, the great blues singer Ma Rainey (Viola Davis).

Following his doomed soldier in Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods,” it’s Boseman’s second performance this year worthy of Oscar accolades, both completed while he was being treated for colon cancer. A feat worthy of a superhero.

Available today on Netflix after a short theatrical run..

Notable — Binge watch

“The Undoing”: David E. Kelley’s new high-profile HBO miniseries shares a couple of things with his hit “Big Little Lies”: namely Nicole Kidman and a murder that rocks an upscale school. She’s a therapist

shocked to learn her husband (Hugh Grant) is a suspect.

What’s missing is the gossipy camaraderie of “Big Little Lies.” Kidman’s character is basically

on her own, a point driven home by several scenes of her walking by herself through gray New York in really gorgeous coats.

All six episodes now streaming

on HBO Now and HBO Max.

Also: Episodes of Kelley’s other new series, the woodsy thriller “Big Sky,” stream on Hulu after they are broadcast on

NEW MOVIES

“Greenland”: It’s a domestic drama. It’s a disaster movie. It’s Gerard Butler doing what he must when a killer comet targets Earth. Opens today on streaming services and cable on demand.

“Sister of the Groom”: Comedy stars Alicia Silverstone as a mom on the verge of 40 who clashes with her brother’s much younger bride-to-be. Today, streaming services and cable on demand.

“Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You”: Concert film goes backstage during the pop superstar’s “Sweetener” tour. Monday, Netflix.

“The Midnight Sky”: George Clooney trudges across an icy, post-apocalyptic wasteland with a little girl in tow. He may be the last man on Earth; she may be its future. Wednesday, Netflix.
