Stain on Cruz All yours, Ted

-

We expected to watch the counting of the votes of the Electoral College today.

We did not expect to see an assault on our nation’s Capitol, egged on by President Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.

There is no way for Texans to impeach Cruz. Nor will it happen in the Senate, where a full two-thirds of the Senate must vote to expel Cruz.

He, like Trump, has chosen to place his future political ambitions above the laws of our nation, and the needs of the people of Texas and our nation.

Sen. Cruz, Texans will remember what you did on and before Wednesday. No amount of verbal whitewash will erase this travesty.

Supporters of President Donald Trump who stormed the U.S. Capitol are the base that U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas has been pandering to so he can achieve his future political objectives.

Have at it! These are now your patriots and future base, who claim they are the staunchest supporters of law and order.

Wednesday’s protest just

ushered in the new Republican Party.

Trump’s anarchy

Thanks to the words and actions of a carnival barker/ reality show president, rightwing extremists stormed the U.S. Capitol in a display worthy of citizens of a banana republic.

These are fanatical believers of an individual who continues to spout lies about a “stolen” election. They should be charged to the fullest extent of the law for attempting to usurp the will of the people who voted legally to remove President Donald Trump from office.

The U.S. representatives and senators who indulge Trump and his alternative facts should be charged with violating their oath to the U.S. Constitution.

Americans are supposed to be better than this. Unfortunately, temper-tantrum Trump has stoked the fires of too many people who can’t think for themselves, and it has devolved into anarchy.
