Tiktok calls out loan officer in Capitol riot

Screenshots of a San Antonio man’s Facebook and business pages are getting attention after a popular Tiktok account appears to have placed him at the U.S. Capitol during Wednesday’s riots.

In the Tiktok posted by @beccaboostanaccount, Matthew Mazzocco’s internet presence is highlighted.

At the start of the video, a selfie posted on Mazzocco’s Facebook account shows him with the federal building in the background.

“The capital (sic) is ours,” the caption read.

Screenshots of the Facebook page listed him as a San Antonio native and resident working in mortgage loans.

During the short video that has generated nearly 30,000 reactions, Becca admonishes him for having so much personal information on the internet.

“Lay low, cuz you’re going to need it,” she advises Mazzocco.

Twitter also appears to have identified Mazzocco in another video recorded inside the Capitol and shared on Tiktok. A man wearing the same outfit in Mazzocco’s selfie instructs others not to break or vandalize anything as the group makes a plan to head to the Senate floor.

CMG Financial, the company listed as Mazzocco’s employer on his now-deleted Facebook page, addressed the controversy in a reply to comment left on a post.

“This person is no longer employed by CMG Financial,” the comment says. “Our HR team has requested that he remove CMG Financial from his profiles as he does not work here.”

On a site used to verify a financial services provider, Mazzocco listed Synergy One Lending, as his current employer. The San Antonio office could not be reached for comment, and Mazzocco’s profile was no longer on the company’s website.

A Linkedin account tied to Mazzocco also appears to have been removed.

Mazzocco could not be reached for comment.
