Teen indicted in drive-by shooting

A San Antonio man has been indicted on a murder charge, accused in the drive-by shooting of a longtime friend in February, authoritie­s said.

The case against Joan Francisco Paulino, 19, was among more than 250 felony indictment­s returned this week by two Bexar County grand juries, the District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Garcia-sanchez, 19.

His case will be prosecuted in the 226th District Court, Judge Velia Meza presiding. If convicted, Paulino faces up to life in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Also indicted was Lamar Calvin White, 35, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and serious bodily injury stemming from a shooting on Jan. 30 involving a woman with whom he had a dating relationsh­ip.

White’s case is being handled by the prosecutor­s in the Family Violence Division and will be heard in the 379th District Court, Judge Ron Rangel presiding. If convicted, White faces up to life in prison.

In separate indictment­s, Greg Anthony Delgado, 35, was charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and possession of a deadly weapon in a penal institutio­n.

Delgado was already in police custody Feb. 9 on unrelated charges when he was accused of using an improvised weapon called a shank on a peace officer in the Bexar County Adult Detention Center.

Aggravated assault of a public servant is punishable by up to life in prison. Possessing a deadly weapon in a penal institutio­n is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Delgado’s cases will be heard in the 226th District Court.

Grand jurors also indicted Seth Aldana, 21, on a charge of intoxicati­on manslaught­er. He is accused of causing a crash that killed Bertha Villegas on Oct. 21.

The case will be heard before Judge Jennifer Peña in the 290th District Court. If convicted of the second-degree felony, Aldana faces up to 20 years in prison.
