Warriors win eighth in row, rip Clippers

LOS ANGELES — Stephen Curry scored 13 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter and the Golden State Warriors extended their winning streak to eight with a 105-90 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Otto Porter Jr. added 18 points, and Jordan Poole had 17 for the Warriors. They improved their Nba-best record to 18-2 heading into a showdown Tuesday night in Phoenix against the streaking Suns — 17-3 after winning 16 straight.

Bucks 118, Pacers 100: Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had game highs of 26 points and 13 rebounds for visiting Milwaukee, which won its seventh straight. Caris Levert led the Pacers with a season-high 23 points.

Kanter adds ‘Freedom’ to name: Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter is changing his name to “Enes Kanter Freedom” to celebrate becoming a United States citizen.

Kanter’s manager, Hank Fetic, told the Associated Press that Kanter will have his citizenshi­p oath ceremony on Monday afternoon and at the same time will complete his legal name change.

The news was first reported by the Athletic.

Kanter, 29, is a native of Turkey who has been an outspoken critic of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish government. Kanter has said his passport was revoked by his homeland in 2017.

NBA fines Carter, Dedmon: Magic center-forward Wendell Carter Jr. and Heat center Dewayne Dedmon were fined $35,000 and $15,000, respective­ly, by the NBA on Sunday.

Carter was fined $35,000 for “forcefully throwing” his protective glasses at a game official in the Magic’s loss at Cleveland on Saturday night.

Dedmon was docked for kicking a seat cushion from the team bench into the spectator stands Saturday night in a victory at Chicago.
