All decked out for Christmas, caverns filled with festivities
Visitors still can head out to trail of lights, story time with Santa, maze
Hearing Christmas carols echo through Natural Bridge Caverns is just a small part of how people can get into the holiday spirit this weekend.
Christmas at the Caverns kicked off earlier this month, but there are still six days — including this Saturday and Sunday — for people to get involved in the festivities. It continues this weekend and Dec. 20, 21, 22 and 23.
With the cost of their admission ticket, visitors can see a 30foot-tall Christmas tree, walk through a trail of lights, have story time with Santa, go through a 5,000-square-foot maze, and enjoy a campfire. If purchased online, adult passes are about $20, and children can enter for
$15. Those who buy onsite will be charged about $22 for an adult and $17 for a child.
To watch carolers fill the caverns with your favorite holiday classics, visitors will need to pay $15 for adults and $11 for kids. Attendees can zipline at the caverns for the same prices. Ice skating is $3 if purchased ahead of time and $4 if bought on-site.
Attendees get a free s’mores kit to roast at the campfire if they bring a nonperishable food item. The donations go to the San Antonio and New Braunfels food banks.
The park will be open from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Caroling will be offered between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Activities like the trail of lights, the campfire, and pictures with Santa will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Story time with Santa is at 7 and 8 p.m.
