TCM spotlight: screwball comedy
TCM, beginning at 7 p.m. Love can be funny — especially in the screwball comedies of Hollywood’s golden age. Turner Classic Movies will be highlighting some of the most memorable each Tuesday in February. Tonight’s lineup is heavy on Katharine Hepburn/cary Grant pairings: “Bringing Up Baby” (1938), “The Philadelphia Story” (1940) and “Holiday” (1938). These are interspersed with two other Grant-led titles: “His Girl Friday” (1940) and “My Favorite Wife” (1940).
