Esther Ann Diaz Oliva

Esther Ann Diaz Oliva, age 75, passed away on February 17, 2023. Esther was born on July 09, 1947 to Rudolfo P. Diaz and Florencia Navarro Diaz. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1966, attended San Antonio College and Del Mar College. She married her husband of 34 years on September 3, 1977. It was love at first sight when Esther met Daniel, they were wed in San Antonio. Esther owned her own business, Oliva Tax Service, which was her life-long dream, she looked forward to tax season; she loved her clients and truly enjoyed helping and preparing their taxes. Esther will always be remembered for her beautiful appearance, she dressed immaculate­ly regardless of the occasion, her positive outlook on life, her kindness and generosity, cheerful and happy attitude along with her witty personalit­y, and most importantl­y her love of family. She was very involved in her children and grandchild­ren’s lives and served as a Girl Scout troop leader at St. Patrick’s Elementary school. Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Esther is preceded in death by her father Rudolfo P. Diaz, mother Florencia Navarro Diaz, husband Daniel Oliva, and daughter Dionne L. Oliva. Esther is survived by her Children Deena A. Cazalas (Marshall), Adopted son, Master Chief Petty Officer (USN Ret) Angelo N. Diaz (Minerva), Grandchild­ren Allison M. Cuevas, Gabriel Cuevas, Matthew Cazalas,

Michael Cazalas, Luke D. Cazalas, and Angelo A. Diaz (Rachel), Greatgrand­children: Zara R. Diaz, Rush A. Diaz, and Jace L. Diaz. Brothers/ Sisters: Rudolfo N. Diaz (Raquel), Alfonso N. Diaz (Janie), Sara A. Rodriguez (Ramiro), Antonio N. Diaz (Susie), Josie Pesina (Robert) and Daniel N. Diaz (Sandra) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home located on 2409 Baldwin Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. located on 3340 South Alameda, Corpus Christi, Texas. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Having the distinguis­hed honor to serve as pallbearer­s are, Matthew Cazalas, Gabriel Cuevas, Angelo A. Diaz, Michael A. Rodriguez, Antonio G. Diaz Jr. and Telesforo M. Diaz. Honorary pallbearer­s are, Michael Cazalas and Luke Cazalas.
