Turner Classic Movies celebrates this month’s Academy Awards with its 31 Days of Oscar programmin­g event, offering Oscar-winning and -nominated films from throughout cinema history all month long. Today begins with a daytime “Family Ties” theme — featuring titles like “The Magnificen­t Ambersons” (1942) and “Father of the Bride” (1950) — and an evening “Adventure” lineup of titles including “The Adventures of Robin Hood” (1938) and “The African Queen” (1951).
