This German rom-com follows 49-year-old Zeynep (Naomi Krauss), who has Croatian-turkish roots, on her search for her own happiness. It’s a journey that leads her away from her unfaithful husband, demanding father and irritating daughter in Munich, drawing her to the wildly romantic Croatian isle of Solta. There, in the house her mother secretly bought years ago and gifted to her in her will, Zeynep hopes to find herself. If only the cottage’s former owner, a rugged islander named Josip (Goran Bogdan), wasn’t still living on the very same plot of land.

The challenge: world championsh­ip Paramount+

Following intense battles around the world, this competitio­n brings together global champions and MVPS from “The Challenge: Argentina,” “The Challenge: Australia,” “The Challenge: U.K.” and “The Challenge: USA” to represent their countries and vie for the title of Challenge World Champion. Joining longtime “Challenge” host TJ Lavin to kick off the premiere episode are global hosts Brihony Dawson (Australia), Mark Wright (U.K.) and Marley Biyendolo (Argentina). In each installmen­t of the 12-part series, a global MVP will be paired with a “Challenge” Legend (a notable veteran from a previous season of the MTV series), serving as a partner to form the most epic teams in the franchise’s history. They will compete to ultimately partake in a brutal finale worth $500,000. The first two episodes are available today; new episodes will be available Wednesdays.

Each farmer hosts a group of single women who leave behind the comforts and convenienc­es of city life for the charms and challenges of country living, as they try to determine if this is the man and the life they are seeking.

Gangs of new york TCM, 11 p.m.

This epic 2002 historical drama from director Martin Scorsese makes its Turner Classic Movies premiere as a centerpiec­e of the network’s 31 Days of Oscar evening lineup devoted to Academy Award-winning and -nominated crime films. Set in 1862, “Gangs of New York” follows Amsterdam Vallon (Leonardo Dicaprio, in his first of several collaborat­ions with Scorsese) as he returns to the Five Points area of the titular city seeking revenge against his father’s killer — Bill “The Butcher” Cutting (Daniel Day-lewis, fantastic as always in a Best Actor-nominated performanc­e). The film earned Scorsese his fourth Best Director nomination, but he continued to be shut out from a win (he would have to wait four more years before he finally brought home Oscar gold for the first time with “The Departed”).
