In this new eight-episode dystopian drama series, taking place in the near future where climate change has upset everyday lives, eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family across the globe will explore the arduous choices that must be made when the planet is changing more rapidly than the population. The large ensemble cast includes Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, Matthew Rhys, Sienna Miller, David Schwimmer, Edward Norton, Diane Lane, Daveed Diggs and many more. The first three episodes drop today; new episodes are available Fridays.

Keira Knightley headlines this true-crime thriller about the trailblazi­ng reporters who broke the story of the notorious Boston Strangler murders in the 1960s. The film follows Loretta Mclaughlin (Knightley), a reporter for the “Record American” newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the murders. As the mysterious killer claims more victims, Mclaughlin attempts to continue her investigat­ion alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon). Despite being stymied by the rampant sexism of the era, the duo bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line to uncover the truth. The film includes Ridley Scott as a producer and also stars Alessandro Nivola, David Dastmalchi­an and Chris Cooper.

The Magician’s elephant

Kate Dicamillo’s beloved novel is adapted into this computeran­imated film that follows Peter (voiced by Noah Jupe), who is searching for his longlost sister Adele (Pixie Davies). When a fortunetel­ler informs Peter that to answer the question of whether his sister is alive he must find a mysterious elephant and the magician (Benedict Wong) who will conjure it, it sets Peter off on a harrowing adventure to complete three seemingly impossible

tasks that will change the face of his town forever.

In this action-packed crime thriller from Spain, a newly widowed single mom (Asia Ortega Leiva) joins her late husband’s gang of smash-andgrab thieves in order to remain independen­t of her father (Luis Tosar), who is one of the biggest stolen-goods trafficker­s in Madrid. Along the way, she finds new allies who will help her unravel the mystery behind the deaths that have marked her destiny.

When a catastroph­ic tidal wave hits during the 10-year reunion of an all-girls high school, a group of women must find a way to survive atop the island peak of their high school campus. Now freshly entangled in decade-old drama, their greatest threat to survival isn’t the end of the world, but each other. A love letter to female friendship, the half-hour Australian comedy is about old friends finding their way back to each other in the most absurd of settings: the apocalypse. Emily Browning, Caitlin Stasey and Megan Smart lead the cast.

Janine Nabers (“Atlanta,” “Watchmen”) and Donald Glover are co-creators and executive producers of this series (Nabers is also showrunner,

and Glover directed the pilot) that served as the opening-night TV premiere at this year’s SXSW Film & TV Festival in March. The thriller follows a young woman named Dre (Dominique Fishback, “Judas and the Black Messiah”), whose obsession with a pop star takes a dark turn.

The Luck of the Irish

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrate with this delightful 1948 comedy starring Tyrone Power as Stephen Fitzgerald, an American reporter who, while traveling in Ireland, befriends a leprechaun named Horace (Best Supporting Actor Oscar nominee Cecil Kellaway). Returning home to New York City, Fitzgerald discovers that Horace has reappeared in his life, acting as the reporter’s servant and conscience. He begins nudging him back toward his Irish roots, a job that doesn’t compromise his principles and is far away from his fiancée (Jayne Meadows), and toward a romance with an Irish girl named Nora (Anne Baxter).

Lopez vs. Lopez NBC, 7 p.m.

When her primos visit, Mayan (Mayan Lopez) and Quinten (Matt Shively) get a taste of what life could have been like had they made different choices. Meanwhile, Rosie (Selenis Leyva) enlists Oscar’s (Al Madrigal) help to sell life insurance policies to her machista Latinx male clients.

The drama based on the true story of brothers and 1980s Detroit drug kingpins Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory finishes Season 2. Starz has renewed it for Season 3.

The guys attend a party hosted by Anthony (Aaron Jennings) and Sherm’s (Carl Tart) neighbor; Nicky’s (Nicole Byer) relationsh­ip is put to the test; and Fay (Grasie Mercedes) jumps back into the dating scene.

My Lottery dream Home HGTV, 8 p.m.

After winning the lottery at 25 years old, Shana and Kayla want to find a first home where they can renovate and start building a life together. David Bromstad helps them explore their options in the picturesqu­e town of Rochester, N.Y., where he has plenty of renovation ideas to share.

Put a ring on It OWN, 8 p.m.

Back for a fourth season, this series puts relationsh­ips to the test with pull-no-punches relationsh­ip coach Dr. Stacii Jae Johnson, as three couples are pushed, stretched and tested to confront the one question they’ve been too afraid to ask: Are they really ready for their happily ever after? The couples go on a series of dates with other people to test the waters, and perhaps discover if there might be a better love connection out there that they’ve been missing all along. Their goal: to decide whether it’s time to go their separate ways, or make the big leap and “put a ring on it.”

Power book II: Ghost Starz, 8 p.m.

Season 3 of the “Power” spinoff finds Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) determined to get his trust, get back to his family and get out of the game for good. But the emergence of a ruthless new connection puts Tariq, Brayden (Gianni Paolo) and Effie (Alix Lapri) back into business with the Tejadas.
