This weekend’s highlights include the Tina Turner musical, the return of the Bacon Brothers and a celebratio­n of the New York punk club CBGB.

Here’s a look at the best of the rest:

TODAY

The Record Company: L.A. trio the Record Company splits the difference between the blues and garage rock in a way that should appeal to fans of the Black Keys and Jon Spencer. The Grammy-nominated band released its latest, “The 4th Album,” featuring the adult alternativ­e hit “Talk To Me,” in September. With Jesse Ahern. Eli “Paperboy” Reed: Reed, a throwback soul singer from Boston, just released a collection of singles titled “Hits and Misses.” His most recent studio album was “Down Every Road,” a tribute to Merle Haggard. Explosions in the Sky: “End” is the latest album from Explosions in the Sky, an instrument­al rock band from Austin that has been making music for almost 25 years. The band’s most widely known work may be its score for the 2004 movie “Friday Night Lights.” 8 p.m. today, Paper Tiger, 2410 N. St. Mary’s St. $39.50, papertiger­satx.com.

San Antonio Philharmon­ic: The musicians are joined by guest conductor Marcelo Lehninger and guest soprano Laura Strickling for a program that includes Villa-lobos’ “Bachianas Brasileira­s” No. 5 and Mahler’s Symphony No. 4. 7:30 p.m. today-saturday, First Baptist Church of San Antonio, 515 Mccullough. $35 to $75, saphil.org.

Bert Kreischer: Comedic storytelle­r Kreischer is known for the elaborate tangents his tales take and his tendency to discard his shirt midshow. “My Fair Lady”: The touring production serves up director Bartlett Sher’s update of the classic musical, in which Eliza Doolittle, the flower girl at the heart of the story, has more ambition and agency.
