BUFFALO HUMMUS
This hummus is a perfect way to sneak some vegetables and beans onto the Super Bowl table.
• 2 (15-ounce) cans chickpeas, rinsed and drained
• 1⁄3 cup water
• 1⁄4 cup tahini
• 1⁄4 cup Frank’s Redhot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
• 1⁄4 cup olive oil
• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
• 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
• Crackers, pita or vegetables, to serve
Instructions: Combine chickpeas, water, tahini, Frank’s Redhot sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and salt in a food processor. Cover and process until very smooth. Pour dip into serving bowl. Cover and chill 30 minutes before serving with crackers, pita or cut vegetables for dipping.
Makes 24 servings as an appetizer
