We love celebratin­g Pride because so many queer people grow up in homes, communitie­s and cultures that try to shame queerness out of us. The antidote to shame is learning to celebrate and honor the whole self. Pride is the place we gather every year to remind ourselves and the world that each of us is beautiful and worth celebratin­g.
