Wild masks help support San Diego Zoo Global’s conservation efforts

-

The San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park are welcoming back guests to see the wildlife — including baby koalas, Amur leopard cubs and hippo calves at the zoo and platypuses, Sumatran tigers and rhino calves at the Safari Park.

In support of a safe visit, San Diego Zoo Global is offering a variety of face masks for purchase, in adult and child sizes. The current styles include the zoo’s signature lion, the much-loved “gorilla shadow” design and one featuring the fan-favorite slogan “Save the Chubby Unicorns,” which celebrates Safari Park rhinos. The masks are available in the zoo and Safari Park gift shops, as well as the online store shopzoo.com. Two-layer masks are $7.95 and three-layer masks are $9.95.

In addition, shopzoo.com is now taking preorders for colorful animal nose and mouth masks. Six adult and six child mask designs are available, including a tiger, lion, mandrill, polar bear, cheetah, gorilla and koala. These fun and functional masks are expected to be delivered by the end of July. Proceeds from all sales support the nonprofit San Diego Zoo Global and efforts to save wildlife around the globe.
