Researchers at estudysite, a local clinical research site, are beginning multiple Phase 3 clinical trials to evaluate vaccines that fight the COVID-19 virus.

The candidate vaccines are being tested in clinical trials to accelerate COVID-19 vaccine development, manufacturing and distribution to the public. The clinical trials will provide more data about the vaccines' safety and efficacy.

“These vaccine trials are pivotal to finding a way to protect the world from COVID-19 and prevent the spread of the virus. We are so excited to be able to help with these crutial accelerated efforts,” said Scott Overcash, estudysite chief medical officer and principal investigator.

Founded in 1999, estudysite operates two clinical research sites in the San Diego area. The company conducts trials spanning antibiotics, antivirals, vaccines, diagnostics and devices, and has a research practice encompassing a broad range of therapeutic areas including endocrinology, hepatology, dermatology and gastroenterology.

Recruitment and screening are now underway for volunteers 18 and older and whose normal work activities or other circumstances may put them at elevated risk for exposure to COVID-19.

Anyone interested in volunteering to participate in a COVID-19 vaccine trial should contact the estudysite research team at (619) 704-2750 or email patientservices@estudysite.com. For more information about the company, visit estudysite.com.
