Happy to see editorial opposing Prop. 15

Having Aztecs play in Carson is a blown call

Re “Why the Aztecs will play their home games in Carson” (Sept. 15): As an Aztecs football season ticket holder and Aztec Athletic Foundation supporter, I believe the decision by San Diego State University and its athletic department to play in Carson is a major faux pas.

The Aztecs fan base increased when the former National Football League club left and ended up playing there. Just like many former NFL fans refused to drive 100-plus miles to watch the Chargers, I predict the same will be true for the Aztecs.

Aztec football games are family friendly and easy on the budget. I don't see parents packing up kids for tailgating to make that drive. Once the new stadium is built, I also predict that those same fans will be priced out of the ticket market because of the inflated new prices.

I am giving up my seats and will no longer support the team. I've been down that road before with the former NFL club.
