Sept. 20 VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Lifestream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations. Face coverings are required of all donors, and all potential donors are subject to a temperatur­e check and COVID-19 symptom review before admission to the donor waiting area. All donations are tested for the presence of COVID-19 antibodies. There will be a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Michelle’s Place, 41669 Winchester Road, Suite 101, Temecula. Sept. 20-Oct. 4 TEMECULA Virtual color run

Temecula’s annual F.I.T. Fun Color Run is going virtual this year and will take place over two weeks:

Sept. 20 to Oct. 4. Participan­ts can race at their own pace, choosing a personal race course, preferred date and time, tracking their miles using a device of their choice. All runners receive a T-shirt, medal, powder packets in three vivid colors, hand sanitizer and an obstacle course pamphlet. The city of Temecula is inviting local artists to participat­e in the 13th annual Ralph Love Plein Air Competitio­n from Sept. 24-Oct. 4. Artists are invited to paint from three locations: Old Town Temecula, Temecula Wine Country or city of Temecula parks. To qualify for judging, canvas submission­s must be stamped between Sept, 24 and Oct. 4; stamps are available from the Temecula Valley Museum by calling (951) 694-6455. Through Sept. 30 MURRIETA/TEMECULA VALLEY Humanitari­an Award nomination­s

The Interfaith Council of Murrieta and Temecula

Valley is accepting nomination­s for its third annual Humanitari­an Awards, planned for November. Deadline for submission is Sept. 30. Nominees may be an individual of any age, youth group, not-for-profit organizati­on, business, faith-based organizati­on, or government­al entity. National service programs are not considered unless there is strong local participat­ion. The IFC is looking for nominees who exemplify its objectives: cooperatio­n, equity, unity, respect, compassion, dignity, human rights, and justice.
