Audiology clinic event highlights nonvisible hearing aid

-

Is wearing a mask making communication more difficult? It may be that slight hearing loss is hindering the clarity of the words. A quick and easy screening can diagnose hearing loss. On Sept. 29 and 30, the House of Hearing in Escondido will be having a Lyric hearing event, which includes information and consultation on the Phonak Lyric, a completely nonvisible hearing devise that is placed in the ear canal and can be worn 24 hours a day. Free trials of the aid are available along with hearing checks.

Safety measures include in-office visits for one patient at a time or the option of curbside service as well as mobile at-home visits.

The House of Hearing is a full-service diagnostic clinic specializing in the hearing sciences. Margie Houston is a licensed doctor of audiology who graduated from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She has owned and operated the House of Hearing for 28 years and was voted a favorite audiologist in the 2020 Uniontribune San Diego's Best Readers Poll.

The clinic's services include diagnostic audiological hearing evaluations, tinnitus evaluation and treatment, otoscopy, ear wax removal, hearing aid evaluation, selection and fitting, hearing aid cleaning, ear impressions and 3D scanning.

The House of Hearing, at 445 S. Escondido Blvd., Escondido, is open Monday through Friday. For more information, call (760) 746-3474 or visit houseofhearing.biz.
