CARLSBAD

The Carlsbad City Council is scheduled to meet in closed session at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday to discuss litigation. In regular session at 3 p.m., the council will introduce an ordinance to set noparking zones between midnight and 6 a.m. on both sides of Paseo Del Norte and Car Country Drive, from Cannon Road to Paseo Del Norte and Car Country Drive.

DEL MAR

The Del Mar City Council will meet in closed session at 3:45 p.m. Monday to discuss litigation. In regular session at 4:30 p.m., the council will discuss its 6th Cycle Program Environmen­tal Impact Report and Draft Housing Element update. The council will also discuss an alternativ­e Community Plan Amendment for the North Commercial Zone to bring the city back into compliance with the approved 5th Cycle Housing Element and with state housing law.

ESCONDIDO

Escondido residents are invited to an online community meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday to discuss housing along East Valley Parkway. City officials are preparing a city-wide housing plan exploring a strategy to develop more housing in important areas. This meeting will discuss three alternativ­es proposed for the East Valley area with a focus on housing. The public is invited to help develop strategies that address current and future housing needs. Registrati­on is encouraged but not required. OCEANSIDE

The Oceanside City Council will meet in closed session at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to discuss labor negotiatio­ns and property negotiatio­ns. In regular session at 5 p.m., the council will introduce an ordinance restrictin­g the use of surfboards, boogie boards or similar craft with or without a foil and/or motor in the harbor or inlet. Hearings will be held on a permit to allow a medical cannabis manufactur­ing facility at 1629 Ord Way, and on permits for a three-unit condominiu­m complex at 410 N. Tremont St., and a mixed-use developmen­t with five residentia­l condo units and two commercial units at 513 N. Freeman St.

POWAY

The Poway City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to finalize an ordinance changing the city’s solid waste management regulation­s. A request to modify the façade of the former Atlas Market building and nearby storefront spaces of the Twin Peaks Plaza shopping center on Pomerado Road will be considered. The council will also discuss giving financial help to the Poway Unified School District to support Internet access for distance learning.

VISTA

Vista is asking for public input on its Housing Element, which is being updated. Taking the Housing Element online survey will help the city develop a plan that best reflects the community’s housing needs, values and priorities.
