70TH ANNIVERSARY

Salvatore and Theresa Costa

-

Congratulations to Sal and Theresa celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married on October 14, 1950 at St. Patrick’s church in Roxbury, MA. Who would have thought that special day so long ago would lead to one of the all-time great love stories! The young family moved from Boston to sunny San Diego in 1955 and settled in the Clairemont area. Sal began a long career as a welder with General Dynamics where he worked on the Atlas rocket, cruise missile and other defense industry projects. His job took the family to Spokane WA, Abilene TX and Roswell NM on several “off-site” assignments that usually lasted 18 months. After raising the family, Theresa spent 15 years working at Kaiser in Clairemont as a housekeeper. Since retiring, Sal and Theresa have enjoyed traveling including cruises to Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii as well as trips to visit family in Boston, Spokane, Las Vegas and Italy. They also enjoy day trip bus tours throughout Socal along with visits to local casinos. The guiding message throughout their long journey together has been their love for each other and their love of family. This is their legacy, lesson and gift to us all. With much love from your children; Theresa, Frank & Jan, Carol & Mike; your grandchildren Bryan & Dara, Jamie & Sean, Tony & Christa, Danielle & Allie and Nick; and your great grandchildren, Ryan, Harrison, Madison and Brayden. Thank you for providing us all a wonderful example of what married life should be, filled with love, laughs, caring and happiness and always family first…
