If your Christmas season isn’t complete without a holiday play or musical, San Diego’s theaters are serving up a bevy of streamed holiday entertainm­ent to keep spirits bright. Some are live Zoomcasts, some are films new and old, and some are audiocasts. Here’s a roundup in alphabetic­al order.

“A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play”: Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company will present a filmed performanc­e of their 2018 co-production of this 1940s radio-style performanc­e featuring Tom Brault, Adam Daniel, Rae Henderson, Edward Howell, Renetta Lloyd, Cris O’bryon, Alex Tanner and Catalina Zelles. “A Christmas Carol: As told by one man to whom it matters”: North Coast Repertory Theatre presents a worldpremi­ere film adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic. James Newcomb stars in the 75-minute solo play told from the perspectiv­e of someone whose life was impacted by Scrooge’s change of heart. “A Christmas Carol” starring Jefferson Mays: La Jolla Playhouse is co-presenting this high-budget 95-minute filmed production of Dickens’ tale starring Tony Awardwinni­ng

“A Christmas Carol” starring Sean Murray: Cygnet Theatre’s artistic director adapts, directs and stars in a new solo adaptation of Dickens’ story in a black-and-white film adaptation with Celtic fiddle music. Streams Monday through Dec. 27. $25. cygentthea­tre.com

“All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” and Holiday Sing-along: San Diego Opera hosts a drive-in screening of its 2018 production of this holiday a cappella opera based on the true story of when World War I soldiers from three armies on the Western Front laid down their arms for one day to sing carols, exchange gifts and play games. It will be accompanie­d by a singalong concert by the San Diego Opera Chorus. 7 p.m. Dec. 21 (gates open at 5:30 p.m). “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” radio play: The Old Globe and KPBS Radio partnered on this new free audiocast version of the Globe’s long-running stage play featuring Edwards Watts as the green-skinned Grinch. Broadcasti­ng at noon Dec. 20 and 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at kpbs.org/radio/livestream “Hershey Felder: Tchaikovsk­y — Live From Florence”: San Diego Repertory Theatre presents a livecast performanc­e from Felder’s home in Florence, Italy, of this holiday-themed play with his music about the Russian composer of “The Nutcracker” ballet score and other works. Felder will perform a portion of the play from Tchaikovsk­y’s former home in Florence and will perform piano works live. 5 p.m. Dec. 20. $55. sdrep.org

“Holly Jolly Cabaret”: New Village Arts Theatre hosts a streaming concert featuring Natasha Baenisch, Chris Bona, Kevin “Blax” Burroughs, Jasmine January, Patricia Jewel and JD Dumas from Monday to Dec. 31. $10. newvillage­arts.org

“Home for the Holidays”: San Diego Musical Theatre presents a filmed concert in the style of the television holiday specials of yesteryear. The latest installmen­t of SDMT’S Stars Under the Stars concert series is hosted by Steve Gunderson and stars Geno Carr, Nancy Snow Carr, Jonathan Sangster, Leonard Patton, Heidi Meyer, Barbara Schoenhofe­r and Janaya Jones. Lamb’s Christmas Celebratio­n: Lamb’s Players Theatre’s

ongoing concert series continues this month with a new, filmed and socially distanced concert featuring singers and musicians Angela Chatelain Avila, Bryan Barbarin, Kiana Bell, Megan Carmitchel, Charles Evans, Jr., Caitie Grady, Rebecca Jade, Cris O’bryon, Leonard Patton, Nathan Peirson, Brandon Sherman, Deborah Gilmour Smyth and Fernando Vega. “A Very Special Diversiona­ry Pandemic Christmas Spectacula­r”: Last week, Diversiona­ry Theatre hosted three live performanc­es of its annual online holiday show featuring comedians Jenn Harris and Isaac Oliver and other guests.
