Florence Deluca ‘Flo’ Ulman

COLORADO — Florence Deluca Ulman died peacefully of heart failure on December 17th, at home with family in Colorado. She was 88 years old. She was born to Frank and Josephine Deluca in Little Italy, San Diego, California. Florence married and raised her family in Fletcher Hills, California, until 1967, whereupon graduating with her Master’s Degree from San Diego State College, (now SDSU), Florence and her family, Wilbert Ulman, Gloria and Mark, moved to Colorado. Her passion was her career as a college teacher, retiring from the Community College of Denver in 1994. Florence returned to San Diego in 2003 and remained there until returning to Colorado in March of 2020.

Florence is survived by her children Gloria Kennedy, of Denver, Colorado, and Mark Ulman and spouse, Ling, of San Diego, California. Also surviving her are her grandchild­ren Garth and Savanna, their spouses Sarah and Nick, and greatgrand­children Gianna, Riley, Gage, and Lincoln, of Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, by her brother Frank Deluca, and by her step-daughter Debra Ulman.
