Wild 4, Kings 3 (OT): Matt Dumba scored in the final second of overtime to lead Minnesota to a win over visiting Los Angeles. With time running out, Minnesota’s Mats Zuccarello dug the puck out of a scrum on the side boards and slipped a pass to Dumba in the slot. The Wild defenseman made a move and flipped a wrist shot past Calvin Peterson with 0.3 seconds left.

Flyers 3, Sabres 0: Brian Elliott stopped 23 shots to shut out host Buffalo for a second time this season. Elliott improved to 5-1 this season and upped his career record to 15-2-2 with four shutouts against the Sabres.

Flames 6, Senators 3: Calgary used a balanced scoring attack, getting goals from six players in a victory at Ottawa. Juuso Valimaki, Mikael Backlund, Elias Lindholm, Sean Monahan, Andrew Mangiapane and Matthew Tkachuk scored for the Flames, who ended the Senators’ three-game win streak.

Capitals 5, Devils 2: Garnet Hathaway and Daniel Sprong scored in the opening 5:06, streaking Washington built a big lead and held off host New Jersey. Nic Dowd added an empty-net goal with less than a minute to play for the Capitals, 5-1-1 in their last seven after losing four straight.

Predators 2, Blue Jackets 1: Mattias Ekholm scored a pair of second-period goals to lead Nashville to a victory over visiting Columbus.

Lightning 5, Stars 0: Andrei Vasilevski­y made 20 saves for his second straight shutout and 23rd overall and defending champion Tampa Bay beat visiting Dallas in the first Stanley Cup rematch of the season.

Maple Leafs 4, Oilers 0: Jack Campbell made 30 saves for his third NHL shutout, Mitch Marner had a goal and an assist as Nhl-leading Toronto opened a three-game set in Edmonton.

Penguins 4, Islanders 3 (OT): Kris Letang got his second goal of the game 4:34 into overtime, giving Pittsburgh a win at New York. Sidney Crosby had a goal and an assist for the Penguins, who won for the sixth time in eight games.

Hurricanes 4, Panthers 3 (SO): Martin Necas scored the winning goal in a shootout, and Carolina beat host Florida.

Red Wings 5, Blackhawks 3: Frans Nielsen had a goal and an assist and Detroit beat host Chicago for its second straight win.

Avalanche 6, Coyotes 2: Jacob Macdonald broke a tie with his first goal of the season, and Colorado beat host Arizona to sweep the two-game, two-day series.

Jets 2, Canadiens 1 (OT): Paul Stastny scored 36 seconds into overtime to help host Winnipeg beat Montreal.

Golden Knights 3, Ducks 2 (OT): William Karlsson scored his second goal of the game 3:23 into overtime, and visiting Vegas defeated Anaheim for the fourth time in five games this season.
