SAN DIEGO — Ardith Diane Lokey, went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2021, after a three-month battle with an aggressive Leukemia.

Ardith was born in Amarillo Texas, grew up in San Diego, and worked for twenty-five years at Kaiser Permanente at Zion, in hospital administration. After retiring from Kaiser, she continued to support the organization as a Board Member for the “Kaiser Permanente Retirees Association”, and a member of “Volunteers in Medicine”, a medical clinic that provided services for those without insurance. Ardith’s passion was to help others less fortunate which she did at every opportunity. Ardith made many good friends at Kaiser. They describe her as a wonderful person who touched everyone’s heart. She was hardworking, humble, generous, kind, thoughtful, considerate and loved by all.

Ardith was the photographer who captured every special moment, and managed to mail each individual their own copies. This was just one of her many kind and generous gestures of love. She also loved to travel which took her to many countries around the world. She enjoyed Bingo, her book club, music, going to plays, and meals with friends.

Ardith was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Ardith was married to Mr. Gilbert Edward Lokey for 38 years, who predeceased her. Together they had a very happy and loving marriage, and raised three wonderful children.

Many loving memories are cherished by her daughter, Darlene Lokey Anderson, her two sons, Daniel Edward Lokey, and Steven Russell Lokey, her grandson, Joshua Edward Anderson, and a host of family and friends.

Ardith will forever be remembered for her everbeaming and infectious smile that gravitated to those around her, her sense of humor and zest for life in the most radiant and charismatic way, and last but not least, her kind soul that touched people wherever she went.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, forever. She will be truly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held this summer.
