PSAR COVERS 91 FORMS CHANGES

The Pacific Southwest Associatio­n of Realtors (PSAR) will host a Zoom meeting about the revised California Residentia­l Purchase Agreement and changes to 91 other forms and documents used in real estate transactio­ns from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21. Admission is free. The California Department of Real Estate has made recent changes to a variety of forms known by such acronyms as SPQ, SCO, BCO, SMCO, RR, RRRR, NBP, NSP, AEA and CC. Meeting presenter will be Nikki Coppa, PSAR realtor, broker, 2020 chair of the National Associatio­n of Realtors (NAR) Risk Management Committee, 2020 vice chair of the California Associatio­n of Realtors (CAR) Defense Strategy Advisory Committee, 2016 chair of the CAR Standard Forms Advisory Committee and a CAR director. TRAIN ON PURCHASE AGREEMENT IN LIVE COURSES AT SDAR

For the first time since 2014, the California Associatio­n of Realtors has issued a complete makeover of the standard Residentia­l Purchase Agreement (RPA), the standard form used in the overwhelmi­ng majority of California home sales. The form was recently released, so get detailed instructio­ns on how to properly complete and use the RPA from an expert. Join contract experts from the Greater San Diego Associatio­n of Realtors (SDAR) for a live classroom course to get well-versed with the principles and applicatio­ns of the form. The classes are December 21 and 28 at 1:00 p.m. at SDAR’S Kearny Mesa main office. PSAR’S ETHICS CLASSES OVER ZOOM

The Pacific Southwest Associatio­n of Realtors (PSAR) will offer two online classes on the National Associatio­n of Realtors (NAR) Realtor Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice to satisfy NAR requiremen­ts from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28 over Zoom. Cost is free. The classes are available via computer or phone with video. Realtors are required to complete at least 2 1/2 hours of Code of Ethics training every three years and this year is the triennial deadline. The Code of Ethics features 17 Articles and Standards of Practice, including duties to clients, the public and other realtors.
