Nov. 13 MURRIETA Dog Tales
The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnership with Love on a Leash, provides trained readingeducation assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. The city of Perris hosts a Take a Hike series of challenging hikes to get residents outside and moving. Dec. 2 LAKE ELSINORE Winterfest
The city of Lake Elsinore will kick off the holiday season with Winterfest — an afternoon and evening of fun including entertainment, amusements for all ages and a vendors marketplace, culminating with the Night of Lights Parade — from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. Festivities will take place on Main Street downtown, with the parade starting at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Langstaff and Graham and winding its way down Main Street to Sumner. Admission is free. Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. Lifestream hosts mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collections at its regular locations.
