The nonprofit Computers 2 Kids is holding a “Meet the Need” Computer Drive through Oct. 31. Residents and businesses are invited to donate tech items they no longer use but that can be refurbished for lowincome families. San Diego-based Computers 2 Kids has already filled more than 19,000 requests for refurbished computers to meet the needs of families struggling to help their children complete their education from home. According to the San Diego County Office of Education, 25 percent of students started at-home learning without computer access, half of low-income families still have no computer or Internet access at home — and 95 percent of schools started this fall with remote learning only. Computers 2 Kids is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher and loads a new Windows Professional operating system to the sanitized computers. Computers can be dropped off at the C2K warehouse, or pick-up can be scheduled for
larger donations. To donate your computer or electronics, or pledge a donation, visit www.c2sdk.org/ meettheneed. Contact info@ c2sdk.org or call (858) 200-9790.
