No. 22 Auburn (5-2, 5-2 SEC) at No. 1 Alabama (7-0, 7-0), 12:30 p.m., Ch. 8:

-

A win keeps Alabama squarely on the path toward the SEC title game and a potential playoff slot. It’s also the toughest remaining regular-season test for the Crimson Tide, who will be without coach Nick Saban after his positive COVID-19 test. Auburn has a chance to remake its season completely if it can win this game and next week against No. 5 Texas A&M. QB Bo Nix has played well since a three-INT performance in a loss to South Carolina. Alabama WR Devonta Smith has been even more prolific than usual since the season-ending injury to Jaylen Waddle. Smith, who just set the SEC record for career receiving TDs, has caught 20 passes for 347 yards and six TDs in the last two games.

Pitt (5-4, 4-4 ACC) at No. 3 Clemson (7-1, 6-1), 12:30 p.m., Ch. 10: The Tigers haven’t played since their dramatic double-OT loss three weeks ago at Notre Dame. Clemson can’t afford to lose any remaining games in the regular season if it hopes to compete for a sixth straight league title and make the playoff. QB Trevor Lawrence has not played a game since Oct. 24, the week before he tested positive for COVID-19 and missed the Tigers’ next two matchups while recovering. He’ll need to be very sharp against a Panthers’ D that leads the ACC and is the only league team allowing less than 300 yards a game this season (DL Patrick Jones II has eight sacks). Pitt is the last team to defeat the Tigers at home with a last-second field goal for a 43-42 win in 2016.
